Fall 2010 Newsletter
Welcome to Group Classes!
"...group classes help to foster local and international musical community and camaraderie, and provide motivation for students to learn new music while keeping the 'old' pieces they have learned in top form." (from "Suzuki Method" in Wikipedia)
Suzuki group classes will soon be underway again and we are fortunate to be able to use University Park School for our classes. Let's be careful to respect this facility. Parents: PLEASE SUPERVISE YOUR CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES. Running is for outside the building. U. Park teachers have invited us to use their classrooms. Let's be sure to leave these rooms just as we find them, putting furniture back that we may have moved. Please help us continue to be welcome at U. Park.

Adult Foundation Classes There are three adult classes available for parents whose children are beginning lessons with a private teacher OR parents who are considering the Suzuki Method OR any adult who wants more information about this pedagogy.
1. EVERY CHILD CAN (ECC) is an introduction to Dr. Suzuki's philosophy and its application to Suzuki Education. Designed for experienced and prospective Suzuki teachers, music educators, parents and others, this course provides an inspiring in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. A fast-paced and engaging program, ECC includes new video materials and provides each participant with useful reference materials for later study. For teachers, ECC serves as the required first course in the SAA Teacher Development Program.
